Voice Actor Chronicles - Episode 10 - Steven Jay Blum
My second LA-based VAC pic, for the one and only Steve Blum! His characters on this pic include: Kazuma (left) from S-cry-ed, Lord Darcia from Wolf's Rain (top left), Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop (top right), Orochimaru from Naruto, Guilmon from Digimon (bottom right) and TOM the Toonami Mascot Robot. Steve Blum is a VA everyone knows of, and has been in FAR more anime titles than the ones with the characters I've put here. I had to pick about six that would work, and I think these were some good choices, several of which are big favorites of his (yes, including Guilmon). Steve I've yet to meet at a con, but I will when Otakon swings around this weekend, and I'll have plenty of oppourtunity to speak with him with the amount of panels he's doing. From what I've heard he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, so that's certainly good news for me
Hey...this one must have been easy...he's practicly everyone ever...he's in Dead Rising...He's Aries in God of War...hes...i dont have the time to name everything.
Ya did a great job with TOM. I like that version of him better than the other TOMs.

Dude1: "LOOK! Up in the sky! Is it a bird?" Dude2: "It's a plane!" Dude3: "No, no. It just some noob who got blown up by a rocket launcher." Me: "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
Thank god you didn't use T.O.M. 4. Some people are fine with it, some aren't. I miss Cartoon Network enough as it is lacking the channel, so when I youtube'd upon TOM 4 it was a shock.
...See if he has any opinion on the new design. *bricked*
Whatever. Blum's characters...Hm... now that I see it, I can make the connection between the voices of these characters I've seen... well. All except to Guilmon, of ocurse.
OH SNAP! This awesome VA also voiced the Thugs-4-Less Leader in RC:GC plus the narrator person from the same game, one of the rebels in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Shishioh from Rurouni Kenshin, along with a couple(?) of characters in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (I think it was either two or one... not sure), and that guy from Digimon 03: Tamers.
I'm sure he'll love that picture for sure.

W00T! Guilmon and Kazuma "the Shell Bullet" Torisuna; Steven Blum performed a bunch of different voices for Digimon, Jamie from Megas XLR, Makoto Shishio from Rurouni Kenshin, Duero Mcfile from Vandread, Roger Smith from Big O, and like you said, dozens of others. Just for voiceing half of my favorite biomerged digimon makes him amongst the category of people I would worship the ground they'd walk on.
...The others, of course, being Melissa Fahn, Mari Devon and Brian Beacock.

Matt: He is an awesome voice-over artist indeed. He really does a great job as Tom, but the current design for him sucks big time. I thought the second was by far the best design. Still, awesome work.
Didn't know he did TOM's voice too. Now I have another reason to hate not going to Otakon this year. D= Have fun while you're there Kirb.

Yet another of favs from LA. I remember the Wha-chow episode when Kyle Hebert was talking about him and he is with his agent and all, so I'd defiantly take Kyle's word for it that Steve is one of the nicest guys out there. And check out Real Fans of Genius, its virals of Steve and Vic doing parodys of the Bud Light Real Men of Genius aids. They should be on YouTube.
