Voice Actor Chronicles - Episode 14 - Johnny Yong Bosch
A Voice Actor I've known of BEFORE he was a voice actor, and before I even got into the craze at all: Johnny Yong Bosch! His characters on this one include: Kiba from Wolf's Rain (top left), Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach (top right), Shotaro Kaneda from Akira (middle right), Itsuki Koizumi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (bottom right), Renton Thurston from Eureka Seven (left) and Vash the Stampede from Trigun (top)...and of course, Johnny sitting in the middle there represents the second Black Power Ranger, Adam Park from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. While we haven't gotten the chance to hear a whole lot of his range, with maybe the exception of high-pitched Renton and over-the-top Vash, Johnny's got some great acting power, and his young sounding voice really works for the characters he plays. He had a bit of a crappy time at this previous AnimeExpo, and I think seeing this pic back then would've been a nice pick-me-up. I was gonna give this to him at Tandokudon, but due to some scheduling issues I wasn't able to make it. He'll get it eventually though. EDIT: Added a slight blur effect to ease the pain of the pixelation a little bit. |
